Job summary

Hyatt in Tempe, AZ is seeking a mid-level cook with strong communication and culinary skills to join our hotel kitchen team. The role requires experience in hotel cooking, the ability to work single stations, and flexibility to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have a culinary degree or related hotel experience, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to stand for long periods while delivering quality dishes consistent with Hyatt standards.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal communication skills.
• 2 years of previous line experience preferred.
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
• Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills.
• Able to work single station in the kitchen.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule of AM and PM Shifts, including weekends and holidays

Role & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

A mid-level cook requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired cook candidate will have hotel cooking experience and a culinary degree. An intermediate cook should have a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures. Intermediate cook will work single stations in the kitchen and require significant supervision and training.

Cooks must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
