Job Details

Job Purpose: To produce all orders required by business volume and supervisor, efficiently and with high quality. Responsibilities include preparing a la carte orders, buffets, banquets, salad bars, and hors d’oeuvres.

Responsibilities:

  • Open and organize the station, prepare and cook food to start serving.
  • Prepare lunch items, sauces, soups, buffet entrees, and switch from breakfast to lunch service.
  • Rearrange line and steam table for service.
  • Prepare orders accurately and ensure food quality.
  • Learn menus, recipes, and presentation standards.
  • Store food properly and maintain temperatures.
  • Cook sufficient food for expected volume, maintaining quality.
  • Prepare food for other departments and upcoming shifts as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Proficient in food prep techniques.
  • Skilled in using tools and measuring accurately.
  • Ability to read recipes and follow instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year cooking experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel.
  • Food Safety Certification required.
