Position Overview

Calling all culinary professionals! An exciting opportunity awaits a Banquet Cook at The Pierre Hotel in New York City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
  • Read and utilize banquet function sheets to prepare food accordingly.
  • Prepare and present foods for banquet functions timely and according to standards.
  • Maintain quality in production and presentation using standard recipes.
  • Assist in the breakdown of banquet foods and buffets.
  • Complete requisitions, obtain signatures, and manage inventory.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Report accidents immediately.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management.
  • Attend bi-weekly banquet/catering meetings and represent the kitchen.
  • Communicate daily changes across kitchen areas.
  • Execute kosher food preparation as required.
  • Obtain certification in food service sanitation.
  • Respond appropriately to hotel emergencies and safety situations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
