Genesis Hospitality and Dining LLC is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to lead culinary operations for high-volume banquet events. Responsibilities include designing annual banquet and social menus, training the banquet team, and ensuring top-quality plate presentation and taste.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of banquet chef experience, appropriate culinary degrees, and strong communication and organizational skills for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing banquet menus.
• 3-5 years banquet chef experience.
• AS or BS in culinary arts preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all food production to ensure items reflect high standards of quality, consistency, aesthetics, and taste.
• Prepare quality dishes for banquet events.
• Create banquet and social menus on a yearly basis.
• Maintain an exceptional production knowledge and attention to detail with plate design and taste quality.
• Maintain a solid knowledge of all food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques.
• Able to train the banquet team to deliver the same quality and design.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Prepares and orders culinary and food supplies as needed.
• Monitor production and quality levels of all products.
• Researches and develops new and unique recipes.
• Other related duties as necessary.
