Role Summary:

As a Banquet/Catering Server, you will assist in all aspects of event service — including setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages to guests, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event, and helping with breakdown and cleanup. This is an on-call weekend position, so flexibility and reliability are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time when contacted for weekend event assignments, ready for service.
• Assist in setting up banquet or catering event rooms, including arranging tables and chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, decor, and buffet or station setups as required.
• Serve food and beverages (plated, buffet, or stations) to guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
• Circulate with trays of appetizers or drinks when required.
• Maintain awareness of guest needs: refill water, clear plates, address requests, and accommodate special dietary needs.
• Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and service team to ensure smooth event execution.
• Assist with breakdown after service: clearing tables, stacking chairs/tables, removing linens, bussing dishes, cleaning service areas, and returning equipment.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Wear all black clothing (black shirt, black pants, closed-toe shoes) for every shift.
• Communicate your availability in advance and be reachable when on call for weekend shifts.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in banquet, catering, restaurant, or event service is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
• Physical stamina to lift/move up to 25-50 lbs and set up/break down event spaces.
• Reliable transportation to/from the job site in the Houston area.

• Professional appearance and ability to follow dress/uniform standards.
