Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Banquet Captain for Pendry in Newport Beach. You will lead pre- and post-event banquet setup efforts, collaborate with teams, and deliver WOW moments for guests in a luxury hotel environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, high service standards, and the ability to adapt to evolving event needs. A flexible schedule, including weekends/holidays, is required with opportunities for growth within a renowned luxury hospitality group.

Qualifications

• One year minimum of experience in food and beverage operations within a hotel or resort environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.

• Communicate, discuss, and direct pre and post event banquet setup needs

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for Banquet Captain, Part Time is $16.90 per hour.

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
