Job summary

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson - Mankato is seeking a motivated Banquet Captain to oversee banquet and event operations from setup through tear-down, ensuring outstanding guest service and seamless execution.

In this leadership role, you will supervise banquet staff, manage event details, and coordinate with hosts to deliver memorable experiences in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, event, restaurant, or serving roles.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead associates and guide teams during events.
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills and spreadsheet proficiency.
• Able to work flexible schedules including days/evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet and event operations from setup to teardown.
• Coordinate event execution per BEOs.
• Serve as primary contact for hosts and guests during events.
• Supervise, train, coach, and support banquet staff.
• Assign staff responsibilities and prepare event setup sheets.
• Ensure proper setup, arrangement, and stocking of banquet rooms.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and guest service.
• Assist with audio-visual setup and inventory management.
• Monitor labor, gratuity reporting, and event billing accuracy.
• Promote safety, cleanliness, and policy adherence.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance development of banquet associates.
