VenuWorks in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Banquet Captain to directly supervise catered events, coordinating planning, setup, execution, and teardown with the Event Coordinator and Banquet Manager to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will oversee staff check-in, table settings, pre-meal briefings, service and post-event cleanup, and staff timekeeping, ensuring hygiene and uniform standards and alignment with Banquet Service Standards.

Responsabilités

• Oversee pre/post event setup and staff briefings according to BEO.
• Check-in staff and ensure proper timesheet signing and sign-out procedures.
• Inspect table settings and ensure cleanliness, placement, and attractiveness of place settings.
• Conduct pre-meal meetings with service staff to clarify service needs and special requests.
• Coordinate last-minute changes with the Event Coordinator and Chef for smooth function execution.
• Supervise the service of the meal to meet standards and guest expectations.
• Oversee post-function cleanup and ensure rooms, isles, and storage areas are cleaned and secured.
• Record staff changes and ensure proper uniform, hygiene, and sign-in/out procedures.
