Job summary

West Shore Country Club is seeking a Banquet Captain to supervise banquet functions when the banquet manager is unavailable and assist during events. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Banquet Manager and involves coordinating service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of presentation.

Starting wage is $21+ per hour with full-time hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years Banquet Serving Experience.
• 2-4 years Supervisory Experience.
• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make quick decisions and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates food service between kitchen and banquet service staff.
• Inspects linens daily for proper appearance.
• Enforces club rules, regulations and policies.
• Reviews table diagrams and function room setup for events.
• Conducts daily line-up to ensure smooth service; assigns stations and times courses.
