Job summary

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson is seeking a dynamic Banquet Captain to lead event service and ensure flawless execution from setup to breakdown.

You will coordinate with culinary, sales and operations teams, supervise service stations, and uphold high standards of presentation, safety and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years experience as a Banquet Captain in a high volume, upscale hotel or restaurant/banquet operation.
• Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with POS systems and basic financial reporting.
• Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighing 35+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all assigned banquet functions from setup through breakdown.
• Review BEOs and coordinate with culinary, sales, and operations teams.
• Direct banquet team by assigning stations and leading each event.
• Coordinate and monitor food and beverage service to meet quality and timing standards.
• Train and coach team members; maintain equipment, inventory and event billing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and company policies.
