Job summary

Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center is seeking a capable Banquet Captain for our dynamic team in Denver, CO. This role oversees banquet setup, service, and breakdown while ensuring safety and quality across events. The position offers hourly pay with tips and flexible shifts, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities include coordinating with catering and banquet staff, managing staff levels, and ensuring client satisfaction. Prior hospitality experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of hotel banquet food/beverage service.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card (or be willing to obtain at our cost).
• Able to process paperwork
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Check server and room setup against BEOs and ensure directions are followed.
• Coordinate with banquet staff for setup, changes and time schedules.
• Operate as a banquet server when needed; greet guests and serve.
• Inspect banquet areas at end of function and ensure equipment is returned and areas clean.
• Coach and assist associates to maintain performance and safety.
