Job summary

Marriott Memphis East is seeking a Banquet Captain for a part-time, on-call role at our Memphis property. You will support banquet events by coordinating equipment, assisting with setup, and ensuring guest satisfaction through precise execution of BEOs.

You will schedule staff for events, supervise service at function stations, and liaise with the kitchen to ensure quality and timely service. This position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays and a strong team focus.

• Read and interpret BEOs to verify room setup and menu service.

Responsibilities

• Make arrangements for equipment for guest functions and ensure accuracy before staff arrival.
• Assist Banquet staff with room setup and verify all tables and equipment meet requests per BEOs.
• Schedule staff for pre-meal assignments and function stations; communicate special instructions.
• Inspect food quality and presentation; coordinate with kitchen on changes or special instructions.
