Job summary

The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ, part of Sage Hospitality Group, seeks a Banquet Captain to oversee setup, service, and breakdown of buffet and events in our vibrant dining environments. You will lead 1–10 associates, ensure safety and hospitality standards, and coordinate with the Banquet Captain and management to deliver memorable guest experiences.

This role requires 1–2 years in a similar position, strong customer service, and the ability to work flexible shifts including mornings,

Qualifications

• One to two years in a related position with this company or other organization.
• Must have basic knowledge of customer service principles, food service function, and restaurant and kitchen operations.
• Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, maintain and break down buffet for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner in a safe, accident-free manner.
• Greet and serve guests following guidelines; ensure polished service and attentive hospitality.
• Read BEO, set tables, maintain station, and communicate needs to Banquet Captain/Manager.
• Supervise 1–10 associates; coordinate with kitchen and service teams to deliver events.
