Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks a Banquet Captain at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center (Benchmark Hospitality). You will supervise staff, coordinate banquet events, and enforce policies to ensure flawless service for high-profile events.

Ideal candidates have hospitality and banquet experience, training abilities, and strong Excel/Outlook skills. Competitive hourly pay and a supportive, growth-focused culture await.

Qualifications

• Experience in the hospitality industry is required.
• F&B banquet experience is desirable.
• Experience as a departmental trainer or supervisor is preferred.
• Knowledge of F&B POS systems is preferred.
• Basic Food Safety Certification and Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission Certification required within 30 days of starting and must be re-certified as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review all BEOs prior to events to ensure staffing, supplies, dishware and drinks.
• Oversee banquet events from setup through service to breakdown.
• Conduct pre-event staff meetings and communicate plan and service standards.
• Monitor events to ensure flawless service and client satisfaction.
• Provide feedback to staff and train on standards and tasks.
• Recap events with planners and complete end-of-shift reports.

Assist Servers and Bartenders as needed.Be aware of the client’s needs during the event. Be available for the client for changes that may occur during the event.Oversee the breakdown of the event to ensure it closes on time and all supplies is put in appropriate areas including food, beverages, linen, supplies, dishware and more.Provide feedback to the staff for positive and not-so-positive actions that occurred during the event.Train staff on the standards and tasks that Servers and Bartenders are responsible for.
