Job Summary

We are looking for a Banquet Supervisor to assist the Catering Manager in leading and supporting all Banquet Department operations. This role involves providing guidance to banquet personnel to ensure successful and effective operations, maintaining an efficient, profitable, and professional department, and delivering high levels of guest and staff satisfaction. The supervisor will oversee service quality, hospitality standards, and verify details of the Banquet Event Order (BEO) for setup and service staff. Additionally, the role supports upholding company standards and assists the Catering Floor Manager.

Responsibilities
  1. Follow instructions from Catering Manager regarding BEOs to determine food and beverage requirements, staffing, room setup, and décor enhancements.
  2. Ensure timely setup of all functions, including room, tables, and equipment.
  3. Oversee the delivery of food, beverages, and service.
  4. Perform supervisory duties such as support, serving, setup, coaching, labor control, and training.
  5. Attend and participate in BEO, Food & Beverage, and hotel management meetings as requested.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of full-service banquet experience as a server and setup person
  • Prior management experience required
  • State licenses or certificates as required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of POS systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete duties thoroughly
  • Physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift trays up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally
  • Climb steps where elevators are not available
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance
