Job Description
The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing service standards during events, including coffee breaks, meetings, meals, receptions, and buffets. Key duties include reviewing guest counts and menus via the Banquet Event Order (BEO), setting tables accordingly, maintaining the banquet area's professional appearance, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The role may involve wine service, equipment maintenance, and assisting with event-related tasks. Attendance at staff meetings and training is required to enhance performance and knowledge.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and fluency in English. The position requires self-direction, the ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods, and adherence to company policies. Maintaining a professional appearance and handling guest requests or complaints are essential responsibilities.
