Job Responsibilities

• Motivate staff and foster a positive, cohesive team to deliver exceptional service
• Maintain knowledge of hotel and departmental standards
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Uphold cleanliness standards
• Understand all banquet menus and beverages
• Respond flexibly to client needs
• Focus on event details and supervise banquet staff to ensure success
• Train staff and uphold hotel standards
• Assist as needed to ensure guest satisfaction
• Stay informed about hotel features and activities
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow directions from clients and management
• Execute banquet events with minimal supervision
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Banquet serving experience required; supervisory experience preferred
• Culinary training a plus
• High school diploma or some college
• Minimum age 18 for alcohol service
• Alcohol awareness certification preferred; CPR certification a plus
• Effective communication in English
• Proficiency with Micros and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift at least 20 lbs
• Stand for 95% of shift; reach, bend, lift as needed

Additional Requirements

• Maintain a neat, groomed appearance per standards
