Hyatt Regency Greenville - Banquet Captain

Hyatt Regency Greenville is searching for a Banquet Captain to join our dynamic banquet team. Compensation is based on experience. Company benefits include health, vision, dental, PTO, 401k, employee discounts, and much more.

The purpose of the Banquet Captain is to organize and coordinate the set-up, service, and breakdown for all food and beverage functions; maintain communication with meeting planners to ensure guest satisfaction; and oversee the proper training of servers and co-captains.

Essential Job Functions

1. Ensure high sanitation and cleanliness standards before, during, and after each shift.
2. Review changes to Banquet Event Orders, including guarantees, times, and set-up requirements, coordinating with the banquet and event planning managers for last-minute adjustments.
3. Inspect table settings, including linen, silverware, china, glassware, and condiments, for correctness, cleanliness, and presentation.
4. Ensure all functions proceed on time and according to plan.
5. Supervise clearing and post-function clean-up.

Experience and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; previous banquet and/or food & beverage experience preferred. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
