Set up, maintain, and break down buffet for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner in a safe, accident-free manner. Assist guests as needed to ensure all foods are properly served.
Education/Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One to two years in a related position with this or other organizations.
Knowledge/Skills: Basic knowledge of customer service principles, food service functions, and restaurant and kitchen operations. Ability to tactfully handle customer service issues, including stressful situations.
The physical requirements include lifting trays, dish racks, and glass racks weighing 20-40 lbs, pushing carts weighing 50-100 lbs, and carrying trays with food and beverages. Must be able to bend, kneel, maneuver in narrow areas, stand continuously, and climb stairs. No driving is required. Must have moderate literacy to read records and requests. Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and communicate effectively is essential. The environment is predominantly indoor, with prolonged standing, walking, and lifting, including in freezer temperatures of -10°F.
