Job summary

InnVentures is hiring a Banquet Server/Meeting Room Attendant at Embassy Suites Tigard, OR. As part of our events team you will set up, service and clean conference rooms with meticulous attention to detail, respond promptly to client requests, and adapt to last-minute changes to ensure a flawless guest experience.

The ideal candidate has prior customer service or food service experience, can obtain a Food Handler’s Certification, and can read, write and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is required.
• Food service experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain Food Handler's Certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up, service and clean conference rooms with a high level of detail.
• Respond to all requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Be creative and flexible with meeting special requests.
• Note changes or additions to banquet event orders and report them to the Event Manager.
• Assist with ordering and inventory for the meetings department.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in storage areas including securing A/V equipment.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment and handle last-minute client needs with ease.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.

Qualifications

Previous customer service experience and/or food service/fast food experience is required. All applicants must be able to acquire their Food Handler's Certification. To be successful in this role, you need strong verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to read, write, type and use various forms of technology. This position requires you to stand and move around for an entire shift. You must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
