Job summary

BENCHMARK is seeking a Banquet Bartender for the Rand Tower Hotel in Minneapolis. The role involves setting up banquet rooms, serving beverages and food, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Position Overview

Banquet Bartender – Rand Tower Hotel, Minneapolis

Responsibilities

• Direct the setup and preparation of banquet rooms for events.
• Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
• Prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests.
• Act as cashier for the banquet beverage bar, input orders into a register, and create checks for each guest.
• Receive cash, provide change, verify charges, and record receipts to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
• Lock up and store all beverages, food, and other equipment; deposit cash drops and secure the bank.
• Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily, including requisitioning, stocking, and inventory of beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projected needs.
• Cut, store, and refresh all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests courteously and documents orders for drinks.
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes while practicing prudent portion control.
• Ensure regular attendance in conformance with established standards and maintain flexibility for varying schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–4 years of bartending experience, preferably in banquet service.
• Experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star venue.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current bartending certification/license.

Compensation

$16.37 per hour. Compensation packages are based on a variety of factors including skill set, years of experience, certifications, and location. (Actual compensation may vary.)
