Job summary

Rancho Valencia Resort is seeking a professional bartender to deliver timely, accurate and friendly service while crafting high quality cocktails for guests in a luxury resort setting.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years bartender experience in a 4- or 5-star environment, cash handling and POS familiarity, TIPS certification, and strong knowledge of ABC laws. You must be 21+ and able to communicate clearly in English with guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years bartender experience in a 4- or 5-star resort environment.
• Cash handling and point of sale experience (Micros preferred).
• TIPS certification required.
• Valid San Diego County Food Handlers Card required.
• Strong knowledge and enforcement of ABC laws.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate in English with vendors, guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate and friendly bar service with high quality cocktails.
• Set up bar with liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies.
• Prepare and serve beverages to established standards and responsible alcohol service.
• Greet guests at the banquet bar and maintain guest relations.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of service areas.
• Work quickly and safely at all times and follow department procedures.
• Be familiar with hotel services and local attractions to answer guest inquiries.
• Participate in and support hotel safety, sustainability and community initiatives.
