Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Bartender at Hilton Orrington Evanston to provide efficient beverage service for weddings, meetings, and hotel events. You will set up banquet bars, serve beverages, verify ages per Illinois law, and ensure smooth, compliant service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong guest-service skills, beverage knowledge, and the ability to handle high-volume events while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending, banquet, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, classic cocktails, and standard bar equipment.
• Strong communication, guest-service, teamwork, and basic math skills.
• Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages in Illinois.

Responsabilités

• Set up, stock, and break down banquet bars according to event orders and hotel standards.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages promptly, consistently, and with accurate portions.
• Verify guest age and follow Illinois liquor laws, responsible-service practices, and hotel alcohol policies.
• Welcome guests, explain beverage options, and respond professionally to special requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar throughout each event.
• Process guest payments when required and accurately reconcile cash, receipts, and charges.
• Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and promptly report shortages or concerns.
• Coordinate with banquet servers, culinary staff, event captains, and managers to support seamless service.
• Follow food safety, workplace safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Assist with related banquet duties as business needs require.

We are looking for our next great team member to join us on our Banquets team as a Banquet Bartender. In this role, you will be creating a welcoming, provide efficient beverage service for weddings, meetings, celebrations, and other hotel events. The ideal candidate combines sound beverage knowledge with attentive hospitality, accurate cash handling, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced banquet environment. This is a unionized position.
