Job summary

The Sheraton Eatontont Hotel is seeking an experienced Banquet Bartender to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during banquet events with courtesy and efficiency.

Maintain a clean, safe bar area and work with banquet staff to ensure smooth service. A minimum of 1 year of bartending experience and knowledge of recipes are required; certification in responsible alcohol service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience, preferably in a banquet or event setting.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet bar according to event specifications and hotel standards.
• Mix, garnish, and serve drinks in a timely and accurate manner based on recipes or guest preferences.
• Provide excellent guest service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and suggesting beverages.
• Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including stocking and replenishing supplies.
• Follow cash handling and drink ticket procedures accurately.
• Work closely with banquet staff to ensure smooth coordination during events.
• Adhere to all hotel safety and sanitation policies, as well as local and state alcohol laws.
• Report any equipment issues, incidents, or guest concerns to the Banquet Manager promptly

Compensation and Benefits include

• This position offers a starting rate of $15.92 per hour
• Part-time employees will have the opportunity to earn paid time-off and join the company's retirement plans (once qualified).
