The Banquet Bartender crafts exceptional beverages and provides top‑tier hospitality at our private events, weddings, and corporate gatherings. The Banquet Bartender ensures a seamless and enjoyable bar experience while maintaining professionalism and efficiency in a fast‑paced event setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and break down bar stations for banquet events, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and non‑alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Follow proper drink recipes, portion control, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service while engaging with guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow OLCC regulations to ensure responsible service.
- Work collaboratively with event staff and banquet servers to deliver a seamless event experience.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Ensure guests receive excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
- Uphold Juniper Preserve’s service standards and hospitality values.
- Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
- Help maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
- Assist in monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.

- Prior banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry trays, move banquet furniture, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- OLCC and Food Handler’s certifications (or ability to obtain).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to pass a drug test and pre‑employment criminal background check.
- Must be dressed neatly and well‑groomed in company‑approved uniform at all times.
- Must be able to deliver plated food, clear tables and assist in banquet set up, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases and under the age of 25 for tobacco purchases.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Maintain current Food Handler Card and OLCC Service Permit.
