Job summary

Hollywood Casino Aurora is seeking a Banquet Assistant Manager to help plan, coordinate, and supervise banquet and catered events. You will lead banquet staff, coordinate with internal departments, and ensure events meet company standards while delivering exceptional guest service.

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in banquet, catering, or F&B is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with hospitality or business education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet and catered events.
  • Supervise banquet staff to ensure service standards, cleanliness, and professionalism are maintained.
  • Ensure event setups are completed according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Coordinate with Culinary, Sales, Stewarding, and Facilities for seamless execution.
  • Greet clients and guests; address concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing levels, and break coverage to meet business needs.
  • Monitor service quality and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
  • Assist with inventory control of banquet equipment, supplies, and linens.
  • Support cost controls, labor management, and accurate event billing.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized banquet operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.

  • Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
