Our Banquet/Event Attendants execute the setup, cleanup, maintenance, and breakdown of all banquets, weddings, meetings, and events at The Marq Southlake. This position also assists the Special Events Coordinator in setting up, implementing, and breaking down city-wide special events. This is accomplished by delivering outstanding guest service in accordance with established standards. Other functions include:

  • Customer Service: Understands and applies the principles of quality customer service by responding promptly to customer needs and requests; resolving difficult and sensitive customer inquiries and complaints; working with other city departments; and collaborating with customers to understand business requirements, analyze current applications, and develop/implement solutions to meet their needs using current technologies or recommending new platforms.
  • Attention to Detail: Performs tasks carefully and thoroughly. Checks work to ensure accuracy and completeness. Compares final work with expectations to identify inconsistencies or errors. Remains attentive to details that are easy to overlook.
  • Facility Operations: Maintains the quality and satisfaction of event and meeting spaces. Cleans and sets meeting rooms, outdoor amphitheater, and banquet/event spaces per specifications. Manages the proper care, movement, and storage of equipment such as tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, presentation podiums, and supplies. Anticipates and addresses guest needs during events by removing trash, restocking linens and refreshments, straightening chairs, and ensuring spaces are organized and clean. Monitors service corridors, pre-function areas, and storage rooms, maintaining organization and cleanliness. Restocks linens and supplies as needed.

The schedule for this position is flexible but may include nights and weekends for programs and events.
