Job summary

George Mason University’s Information Technology Services seeks a Manager of Banner Central Support to lead daily operations, prioritize work, and guide Banner development and production support. You will supervise developers and technical staff, ensure alignment with university priorities, and drive continuous improvement in Banner customizations and integrations.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management, and collaboration with functional offices, DBAs, security staff, and vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading technical teams in an IT environment.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP or similar ERP systems.
• Knowledge of databases, reporting, and integration practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational supervision for Banner Central Support team.
• Supervise Banner developers and staff; manage performance.
• Coordinate development with offices, DBAs, security, vendors.
• Oversee production issues, incidents, maintenance.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with standards.
