Job summary

KAPITAL is seeking a Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Associate to join its Boston, MA or New York, NY office. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience at a comparable law firm and a strong track record in bankruptcy court practice and corporate restructurings.

You will represent debtors, creditors, and committees, draft motions, participate in hearings, advise on workouts, and manage complex engagements while maintaining client relationships and collaborating with senior

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical, writing, advocacy, and communication skills.
• 3–5 years of experience at a comparable law firm.
• J.D. and admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of the primary office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, creditors, and official committees in Chapter 11 cases and other restructuring proceedings.
• Draft and argue motions, participate in bankruptcy court hearings, and manage contested matters.
• Advise on corporate restructurings, out-of-court workouts, and insolvency-related disputes.
• Manage multiple complex engagements while collaborating with colleagues and maintaining strong client relationships.
