Job summary

A conflict-free, litigation-only boutique with a global footprint seeks a mid-level associate to join an established bankruptcy litigation group with growth and high demand. The role involves advising debtors, creditors, committees, and foreign insolvency representatives on Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 matters, cross-border issues, asset recovery, and international judgment enforcement.

Hybrid, 3-day in-office schedule in New York, NY.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bankruptcy/restructuring litigation experience in a large firm or comparable environment.
• Strong experience with brief writing, discovery, depositions, and courtroom work
• Direct client-facing experience with executives, institutional clients, or creditor committees
• Interest in early case ownership, and building a practice in a lean, entrepreneurial platform
• Dedicated bankruptcy experience (including clerkships) is strongly preferred, but candidates with elite credentials coming from commercial litigation will also be considered if they have some exposure to or demonstrated interest in bankruptcy work.

Responsibilities

• Advise debtors, creditors, committees, and other stakeholders on insolvency disputes, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings.
• Represent clients in cross-border matters and asset recovery engagements.
• Engage in early case ownership and develop a lean, entrepreneurial practice.
• Coordinate with foreign insolvency representatives and counsel as needed.

A conflict-free, litigation-only boutique with a global footprint is seeking a mid-level associate to join an established bankruptcy litigation group with continued growth and high demand in the practice area.

The role involves sophisticated work advising debtors, creditors, committees, foreign insolvency representatives, and other stakeholders on high-stakes insolvency-related disputes, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings, cross-border bankruptcy and asset recovery matters, creditor-debtor disputes and creditor remedies outside of bankruptcy court, and international judgment enforcement engagements.

Who This Is For

Hybrid, 3-day in-office schedule. The desired worksite location is New York, NY. Compensation range for this role is $260,000 - $390,000 + performance-based market bonus.
