Job summary

Bilu Law in Florida seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney / Civil Litigation Associate to handle a full caseload of consumer and business bankruptcy matters, from intake through hearings. You will advise debtors on Chapter 7 options, draft petitions, negotiate with creditors, and represent clients at hearings in a fast-paced, volume-based practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership.
• 5-10 years of civil litigation and/or bankruptcy practice.
• Experience with Chapter 7, 13 & 11 filings from evaluation to discharge.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills with attention to deadlines.
• Ability to work on-site in Pompano Beach, FL and manage multiple cases.

Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation cases related to real estate, business, & bankruptcy from inception to trial.
• Create case and litigation strategies as needed.
• Communicate with supervising attorneys and clients to provide status updates.
• Review all conditions precedent to filing, including documents, notices, and demands.
• Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate actions.
• Ensure internal systems capture findings and recommendations.
