Job summary

Santander Consumer USA Inc. is seeking a Bankruptcy Representative to manage accounts from inception to completion in Austin, TX. You will ensure compliance with Bankruptcy Code and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act while handling document review and communication with local counsel.

Responsibilities include monitoring court dockets, preparing proofs of claim, and maintaining confidentiality with a focus on strong customer service and accurate servicing of bankruptcy accounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related field or demonstrated through experience.
• 0+ years Bankruptcy experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of regulations and collection policies.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; familiarity with collections software.
• Strong customer service and poise under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate court documents, account data, and referrals to local counsel.
• Perform timely Bankruptcy servicing.
• Monitor court dockets for changes within the bankruptcy case.
• Review trustee websites for compliance with the bankruptcy plan.
• Prepare Proof of Claim documentation for next level review and redaction of servicing documents.
• Escalate risk issues identified to manager.
