Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Bankruptcy Attorney to join our thriving legal team in Florida. This role focuses on Chapter 11 reorganizations, creditors' rights, and insolvency litigation for a diverse client base.

You will represent creditors, debtors, and trustees, draft pleadings and motions, negotiate matters, and provide strategic guidance on restructuring. A strong background in bankruptcy law and commercial litigation is required.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar status in good standing.
• Minimum 5+ years of bankruptcy-related experience in counsel, partner, or restructuring roles.
• Proven expertise in Chapter 11, creditors' rights, and commercial litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent creditors, debtors, and trustees in Chapter 11 and related bankruptcy matters.
• Provide expert insolvency guidance and strategic restructuring advice.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and court filings.
• Negotiate settlements and manage adversary proceedings to favorable outcomes.
• Conduct thorough legal research on complex bankruptcy issues.
• Oversee distressed debt transactions and identify risks and opportunities.

Job Details

Salary: $175,000 - $220,000 per year

Responsibilities

• 1. Representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, and trustees in all aspects of Chapter 11 reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation.
• 2. Providing expert legal advice on insolvency and restructuring matters to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are well-protected.
• 3. Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents in compliance with court rules and procedures.
• 4. Negotiating and mediating adversarial proceedings and contested matters to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• 5. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis on complex bankruptcy and business litigation matters.
• 6. Handling distressed debt transactions and advising on potential risks and opportunities.
• 7. Making regular court appearances, presenting cases effectively, and advocating for clients confidently.
• 8. Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• 3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Bankruptcy Counsel, Bankruptcy Partner, Restructuring Attorney, or a similar role.
• 4. Extensive knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy law, creditors' rights, commercial litigation, and business bankruptcy.
• 5. Proven experience in handling Chapter 11 reorganizations, adversary proceedings, contested matters, and bankruptcy litigation.
• 6. Exceptional negotiation and mediation skills.
• 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 9. Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• 10. Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
