• Handle complex commercial litigation matters both within and outside of bankruptcy proceedings
• Prosecute and defend avoidance actions and other clawback litigation
• Conducting due diligence and managing key aspects of transaction execution

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Bankruptcy Attorney with at minimum of 7 years experience in New York City to join a highly regarded NYC based practice with a strong reputation across real estate, litigation, and bankruptcy.

This Bankruptcy Attorney role in New York City role offers exposure to representing Chapter 11 debtors, trustees, secured lenders, private equity funds, hedge funds, landlords, tenants, creditors, and other stakeholders in a broad range of bankruptcy and restructuring matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Bankruptcy specialist in New York City seeking sophisticated transactional and litigious work, high-quality clients, and the opportunity to develop within a well-established and collaborative practice.

The Role:

• Advising on a broad range of bankruptcy matters for a diverse client base
• Loan-to-own strategies, distressed debt restructurings, distressed real estate acquisitions
• Handle complex commercial litigation matters both within and outside of bankruptcy proceedings
• Prosecute and defend avoidance actions and other clawback litigation
• Conducting due diligence and managing key aspects of transaction execution
• Working closely with attorneys on high-value and high-profile deals
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm’s wider platform
• Building relationships with clients including landlords, developers and investors

The Candidate:

• New York admitted bankruptcy attorney with 7+ years’ experience
• Strong experience in bankruptcy and commercial litigation
• Exposure to a broad range of high value litigious matters
• Comfortable working across a range of asset classes and sectors
• Commercially minded with strong technical ability
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in New York
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build client relationships
• Highly organized with strong time-management capabilities
