Job summary

Fitz & Fitz Associates in Florida is seeking an attorney to help individuals obtain relief through consumer bankruptcy. This is a fully remote role for Florida residents only, with real responsibility and a supportive team.

You will counsel clients under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13, review filings, appear at 341 meetings and hearings, and work closely with paralegals to move cases to discharge.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and Florida Bar license in good standing.
• Consumer bankruptcy experience, including Chapter 7 and 13.
• Experience appearing at 341 meetings and bankruptcy court hearings.
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 options.

A growing consumer bankruptcy practice in Florida is hiring an attorney to help individuals and families get relief from debt and a fresh financial start. This is a fully remote role with real responsibility, a supportive team and a steady flow of cases.

What you'll do

• Counsel clients on their options under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13
• Review petitions, schedules, statements and means tests prepared by the paralegal team and sign off on filings
• Represent clients at 341 meetings of creditors and at hearings
• Negotiate with trustees and creditors and resolve objections and motions
• Handle matters through discharge, including plan confirmation and modifications for Chapter 13 clients
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to keep cases moving

What we're looking for

• Juris Doctor and an active Florida Bar license in good standing
