Job summary

Evans Law Practice in Georgia is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to build out a bankruptcy practice alongside our established real estate, title, tax sale, and creditor's rights work. You will shape a practice area from the ground up within a tight-knit firm with existing lender relationships.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Bar license in good standing.
• Experience with bankruptcy court practice in Northern, Middle, or Southern District of Georgia.
• Familiarity with real estate or creditor's rights matters preferred.
• Strong writing, client communication, and case management skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings.
• Handle creditor and debtor-side bankruptcy matters, including relief from stay motions.
• Coordinate with the firm's real estate, foreclosure, and title practice on overlapping matters.
• Advise clients on bankruptcy implications for real estate transactions and creditor's rights matters.

Evans Law Practice, a small real estate law firm in Georgia, is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join our growing team.

About the Role:

We're looking for an attorney to build out a bankruptcy practice alongside our established real estate, title, tax sale, and creditor's rights work. This is an opportunity to shape a practice area from the ground up within a firm with existing real estate and lender relationships. We have strong marketing infrastructure in place, with clients already actively seeking bankruptcy services from our firm - giving the right candidate a running start rather than a cold build.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings
• Handle creditor and debtor-side bankruptcy matters, including relief from stay motions
• Coordinate with the firm's real estate, foreclosure, and title practice on overlapping matters (e.g., liens, foreclosure holds, property in bankruptcy estates)
• Advise clients on bankruptcy implications for real estate transactions and creditor's rights matters

Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Bar license in good standing
• Experience with bankruptcy court practice (Northern/Middle/Southern District of Georgia a plus)
• Familiarity with real estate or creditor's rights matters preferred
• Strong writing, client communication, and case management skills
