Job summary

Peoples Bank in Akron, OH seeks a Training Specialist to prepare and facilitate educational programs for associates through in-person, online, webinar and video formats. The role covers customer service, product knowledge, sales, regulatory topics, and computer training, with the position based at a Peoples Bank location within commutable distance.

Responsibilities include developing curricula, coordinating training schedules, evaluating program effectiveness, and updating written procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or a minimum of an associate’s degree with three to five or more years banking experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail
• Proven team player; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs

Responsibilities

• Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specific area of the bank
• Develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives
• Formulates training agendas and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training or group instruction
• Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs
• Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs; utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods
• Supports continued training needs through answering questions and updating procedures
