Job summary

Bottomline is seeking a Technical Solutions Consultant to bridge sales and technical delivery. You will work with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams to tailor banking solutions to customer environments and requirements, guiding architecture and integration decisions throughout the deal lifecycle.

You’ll engage CIOs, CTOs, developers, and technical leads, translating complex concepts into clear plans and hands-on demonstrations. Travel up to ~25% may be expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, implementation, software development, or another technical role with customer exposure.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, enterprise applications, and systems integration.
• Ability to explain technical architecture, including infrastructure, databases, operating systems, interfaces, and integrations.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource throughout the sales process, shaping technical strategy after qualification.
• Lead technical discovery conversations to understand customer requirements, architecture, integrations, and dependencies.
• Engage with both technical and executive stakeholders, including CIOs/CTOs and developers.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for all audiences.
• Deliver technical presentations, architecture reviews, and demonstrations as needed.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations early in the cycle.
• Support opportunities with both prospective and existing customers.
