Job description

Overview

The Banking Support Group is a newly established team of three dedicated professionals committed to delivering operational support to Banking Front Officers across the entire deal lifecycle, from origination to closing. This team is responsible for facilitating essential operational processes related to deal entry and management in Singular (our internal deal pipeline and management system), preparing Business Committees and Credit Committee submissions, facilitating deal closing and operational booking, and ensuring a smooth handover to Portfolio Management.

The Banking Support Group collaborates with various Front Office teams, including Real Assets (covering Aviation, Infrastructure & Energy, and Real Estate & Hospitality), Investment Banking (covering Acquisition and Strategic Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Strategic Equity Capital Markets), Global Trade, as well as Coverage and Advisory for the Americas and Latin America (LatAm).

The Associate- or VP-level Banking Support Analyst will be located in New York and will be part of a team of three. This position reports primarily to the Head of Business Management for Investment Banking, Real Assets, and Global Trade, with a secondary reporting line to the Head of Business Management for Advisory and Coverage Americas.

He/she/they will have the following responsibilities:

Singular Deal Entry and Management
  • Work with the Origination team to capture deal opportunities in Singular/Nat1 (internal deal pipeline and client relationship management system) including deal information, description, deal structure, deal team setup, borrower and related parties, facility, and NBI details.
  • Manage the deal pipeline and ensure deal information is regularly updated to maintain data integrity.
  • Liaise with the Front Office (FO) KYC Support Team in Porto to ensure timely vetting of new third parties and completion of periodic reviews.
  • Manage the deal data room and organize documents provided by clients and financial sponsors for streamlined access.
  • Coordinate the establishment and management of secured folders for sensitive or material non-public information (MNPI) deals, collaborating with the IT team as needed.
Business Committee and Credit Committee Preparation
  • Facilitate the preparation of the Business Committee (BizCom) form in Singular and coordinate submission with the BizCom Secretary.
  • Conduct first-level KYC and AML screening and negative news searches on the borrower and related parties using the World Check One tool.
  • Assist in preparing climate risk assessment sections for credit memos, liaising with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team.
  • Facilitate the rating process by inputting borrower audited financials into the BREF tool.
  • Assist in creating new credit applications in the Credit Portal and updating deal information until submission.
  • For Real Assets deals, prepare the Financial Data template to be included in the credit memo (summary financials of counterparties, contractors, offtakers, etc.).
Deal Booking / Closing
  • Facilitate deal booking (after binding commitment and/or after deal execution) by preparing deal closing templates and packages, compiling all necessary documentation.
  • Assist the FO in preparing the Covenant Booking Memo (COBOM) to summarize the covenants to be monitored by the Middle Office (MO).
  • Coordinate with the Middle Office and Back Office for the booking and manage any operational issues to ensure proper booking.
  • Collaborate with the FO on the fee approval process post-closing or syndication.
  • Ensure proper closing of the deal in Singular post-closing or syndication.
  • Maintain and update the Covenant Booking Memo (COBOM) in accordance with credit agreements.
  • Coordinate with FO the deal transfer to Portfolio Management after deal closing
  • Update and maintain CIB Natixis client presentation materials and league tables as required.
  • Ensure tombstones are current and properly classified for reporting purposes.
  • For global trade and LatAm, monitor ratings and the Annual Review Tracker.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • Two+ years of experience in lending and/or financing transaction support or banking operations, or in a related area.
  • Good understanding of banking products and related processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Capacity to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and Business Intelligence solutions (Power BI, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for the Associate position will be between $100,000 - 125,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.

The salary range for the VP position will be between $125,000 - 155,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
