Job summary

Natixis in New York seeks a VP-level Banking Support Analyst to lead a growing team delivering premier operational support across the deal lifecycle. You will coordinate with Origination, Front Office, Middle Office, and Portfolio Management to ensure data integrity, timely approvals, and smooth handoffs.

You will oversee Bizcom preparation, deal booking, and closing activities, while driving stakeholder communication and team development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 1–5 years in corporate lending support or related financial services operations.
  • Solid understanding of wholesale banking products and credit lifecycle processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail; able to manage multiple deals under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; CRM systems (Salesforce) and BI tools (Power BI) are highly beneficial.

  • Facilitate deal booking and closing, COBOM drafting, and post-closing workflows.
  • Coordinate transfer of deals from Front Office to Portfolio Management.

Job description

The Banking Support Group is a newly established, high-impact team of three dedicated to delivering premier operational support to Banking Front Officers across the entire deal lifecycle—from origination to closing.

This vital team is responsible for facilitating essential operational processes related to Singular (our internal deal pipeline and management system), Business Committees, deal closing, and operational booking, as well as ensuring a seamless handover to Portfolio Management.

The Banking Support Group collaborates closely with various Front Office teams, including:

Real Assets: Aviation, Infrastructure, Energy, and Real Estate

Investment Banking: Acquisition & Strategic Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Strategic Equity Capital Markets

Global Trade

Coverage & Advisory: Americas and Latin America (LatAm)

As the VP-level Banking Support Analyst, you will serve as the hands-on Team Lead for this growing group. Located in our New York office, you will drive operational excellence, foster team development, and act as a key liaison for senior leadership.

Reporting Lines:

Primary: Head of Business Management for Investment Banking, Real Assets, and Global Trade

Secondary: Head of Business Management for Advisory & Coverage Americas

Team Leadership: Drive cross-functional monitoring of team activities, manage workload distribution, and track performance to ensure an equitable and highly productive environment.

Talent Development: Build a cohesive, high-performing team by fostering a culture of ownership, autonomy, and continuous professional development.

Stakeholder & Escalation Management: Proactively identify and elevate key operational issues to Business Management, track their resolution, and clearly communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Partner with the Origination team to accurately capture deal opportunities within Singular/Nat1 (our internal deal pipeline and Client Relationship Management system), including deal descriptions, structures, team setups, borrower/related party details, facilities, and Net Banking Income (NBI) details.

Manage the active deal pipeline, ensuring continuous updates to maintain absolute data integrity.

Liaise with the Front Office KYC Support Team in Porto to guarantee the timely vetting of new third parties and the successful completion of periodic reviews.

Coordinate the setup and secure management of folders for sensitive or Material Non-Public Information (MNPI) deals, collaborating closely with the IT department.

2. Business Committee Preparation

Facilitate the preparation of Business Committee (Bizcom) forms within Singular, and coordinate submissions directly with the Bizcom Secretary.

Perform rigorous data-quality checks on all files prior to Bizcom meetings.

Assist in preparing climate risk assessment sections for credit memos, partnering with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team.

Streamline the rating process by inputting audited borrower financial data into the BREF tool.

Assist in creating new credit applications within the Credit Portal, updating deal information through to final submission.

For Real Assets transactions, prepare comprehensive Financial Data templates for credit memos, summarizing the financial standing of counterparties, contractors, and offtakers.

3. Deal Booking and Closing

Facilitate efficient deal booking post-commitment or post-execution by preparing structured deal-closing templates and packages, compiling all required documentation.

Partner with the Front Office to draft the Covenant Booking Memo (COBOM), summaraingiz crucial covenants to be monitored by the Middle Office.

Coordinate directly with the Middle Office and Back Office to execution-book transactions, actively managing and resolving any operational hurdles.

Manage the post-closing and post-syndication fee approval process with the Front Office.

Ensure the timely and accurate closing of deals within Singular post-syndication or post-closing.

Maintain and update the COBOM dynamically in accordance with executed credit agreements.

Seamlessly coordinate the transfer of deals from the Front Office to Portfolio Management post-closing.

5. Cross-Functional Activities

Maintain, update, and elevate CIB Natixis client presentation materials and league tables.

Ensure that transactional tombstones are kept current and properly classified for corporate reporting.

Monitor credit ratings and the Annual Review Tracker for Global Trade and LatAm portfolios.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in corporate lending support, financing transaction support, investment banking operations, or a closely related financial services sector.

Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of wholesale banking products, debt structures, and credit lifecycle processes.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and a rigorous attention to detail.

Execution Focus: Proven organizational abilities with a track record of managing multiple complex transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint; hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is highly structurally beneficial.

Soft Skills: Collaborative mindset, exceptional leadership potential, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this position will be between $140,000 - $170,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance
