Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Banking experience preferred or relevant experience equivalent to a year.
• Above average verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of Bank products and services.
• Pursuit of certification in life insurance, lending, or business banking expected.
• Proficient with a Personal Computer.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the sale of Bank products and services to customers through the bank’s defined sales process to maximize banking relationships.
• Adheres to and promotes the Bank’s Core Values.
• Responds to requests and proactively approaches customers regarding service, products, and account information.
• Processes the opening of accounts by collecting and verifying identification and information per CIP/CDD and BSA requirements, ensuring disclosures.
• Processes transactions including account changes, validates IDs and signatures, checks documentation, and ensures accuracy.
• Processes ATM and Debit MasterCards for customers through core system, ensuring correct information.
• Performs clerical tasks including filing, scanning and updating account information in the core system.
• Adheres to shred procedures to comply with Regulation P.
• Analyzes and resolves customer concerns through verbal and written communications.
• Performs follow-up calls to ensure service and pending items are received.
• Acquires knowledge of bank products and services to provide accurate information.
• Verifies monetary transactions using basic math and calculator.
• Processes customer transactions through the core system and cash handling equipment.
• Balances daily cash and transactions; identifies and corrects errors.
• Ensures regulatory compliance by applying bank policies.
• Performs check scanning and endorsements for accurate credit and settlement per Regulation CC.
• Sells currency back to the vault to mitigate risk.
• Submits referrals to appropriate areas.
• Assists with training of teller trainees.
