Job summary

United Bank is seeking a Sales Associate to perform daily branch and customer service duties, processing transactions accurately while promoting bank products. You will work in a team to meet branch goals and deliver high-quality service.

The role requires a high school diploma, customer service experience, and the ability to communicate effectively. Fluency in Spanish is a plus; familiarity with core banking systems is helpful. This is a full-time position at our local branch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the Bank’s in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
• Previous customer service contact experience is highly desired.
• Ability to demonstrate a sales-oriented professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills; Spanish or additional languages a plus.
• Experience in handling money preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Understanding of core banking systems is a plus.
• Detail oriented; professionalism and confidentiality are essential.
• Flexibility on work schedule as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Operate with accuracy and efficiency with core banking systems and processing transactions with a sales associate cash drawer.
• Balance cash daily and adhere to security procedures and cash limits.
• Adhere to cash differences/controllable losses policy.
• Identify customers and verify endorsements, cash, checks, transfers; obtain supervisor approval as needed.
• Comply with department and company policies and security.
• Prepare currency transaction reports and logs in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act including KYC/OFAC.
• Contribute to branch and/or individual scorecard goals by monitoring performance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and adhere to sales standards.
• Promote and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Communicate bank products and services to clients; may require hours outside normal schedule.
