Job summary

You will reconcile GL interfaces, process wires, order currency, handle Canadian and foreign items, and generate internal reports while maintaining compliance with bank policies and applicable laws. This role requires accuracy, teamwork, and calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and accurate balancing

• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience with CSI and/or BankTel is a plus

Responsibilities

• Determine daily position with the Federal Reserve Bank and United Bankers Bank; purchase or sell funds to maintain reserves.
• Maintain balances in correspondent bank accounts and avoid overdrafts; manage daily/monthly payments with FHLB.
• Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers; export prior days' wires and upload to accounting system.
• Order currency for branches and ship excess to Federal Reserve as needed.
• Clear Non-post.
• Balance GL interface report daily; research outages as necessary.
• Process Canadian and all foreign items through Correspondent.
• Complete monthly reconciliations; investigate outages and clear stale items.
• Enter, update, retrieve accounting data from automated systems.
• Generate system reports; handle additional tasks and projects.
• Adhere to compliance, confidentiality, policies, and fraud reporting; follow laws and regulations.
• Other tasks as assigned
