Job summary

CBTx is seeking a frontline teller to meet customers' service needs in a fast-paced branch environment. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, and you will promote CBTx products and services to clients. Strong math, clerical, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma, fluent English, and a good credit history. Experience in a financial institution is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
• Good personal credit history required.
• 1 year experience in a financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with basic checking, savings, and credit account transactions.
• Promotes CBTx services such as loans, insurance, IRAs, CDs, safe deposit boxes, gift cards, and money orders.
• Receives and processes checks, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments accurately.
• Counts and packages coins and currency; maintains cash supply within prescribed limits.
• Balances cash drawer and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Provides courteous and enthusiastic service to customers and colleagues.
• Maintains compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Orders cash when necessary and handles bank by mail/night deposit duties where available.
