Skills and Competencies
  • Genuine interest in customer insights, data, and how technology can make both better
  • Exposure to coding or data tools such as Python or similar; comfort with AI tools is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates, stakeholders, and occasionally customers
  • Self-starter mindset - proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once
  • Coursework or experience in analytics or business intelligence preferred
  • Prior knowledge of, or interest in, the banking industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
  • Experience translating technical findings into plain-language business value through projects or prior internships preferred
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028
  • Ability to work during program dates: June 7th - August 13th 2027
Responsibilities

Support Moody's Banking Customer Engagement team by turning customer data into clear, connected insights that help serve banking clients more effectively.

  • Partner with internal teams to aggregate and interpret customer information, including product usage, satisfaction scores, support requests, project status, and event feedback
  • Help build simple, intelligent tools and workflows using AI assistants and related technology that transform customer data into actionable insights
  • Work with data platforms to organize customer information in a way that is easy to analyze and report on
  • Help design workflows that give internal teams real-time visibility into customer health and engagement
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and, on occasion, customers directly to ensure the solutions built reflect real client needs
  • Support efforts to track customer value delivery and demonstrate the impact of the client relationship
About the Team/Program

Our Banking Customer Engagement team is responsible for building a clear, connected picture of the customer relationship across Moody's banking client base. The team partners closely with advisory, customer success, and project delivery functions to surface actionable insights that drive smarter client conversations and better outcomes. By joining our team, you will contribute to meaningful work at the intersection of data, technology, and client strategy, helping Moody's banking teams serve their clients more effectively. As part of our continued evolution, the team is increasingly leveraging AI-powered tools and workflows to bring real-time customer intelligence to our engagement model.

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.
