Job summary

UMB Bank is hiring for a Consumer Services Specialist to handle inbound service center calls and deliver an unparalleled customer experience. You will assist customers by using multiple banking systems to answer questions, resolve issues, and cross-sell appropriate products.

The role requires strong phone communication, basic banking product knowledge, and the ability to learn through training. Shifts include M-F 7am-8pm CT and Saturdays 8am-5pm CT; compensation starts at $19/hr and ranges to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic banking products (checking, debit, credit cards).
• Ability to access and navigate multiple computer systems.
• Understand privacy regulations and customers must be authenticated before discussing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound service center calls and access multiple banking systems to answer questions, provide information, resolve problems, and cross-sell appropriate products.
• Engage in classroom training, online learning, and department communications to maintain and improve skills.
• Performance evaluated on call quality, talk time, cross-sell success, and competency demonstrations with monthly incentives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
