Job summary

Montecito Bank & Trust in Goleta, CA is hiring a Service Center Specialist to deliver a World Class customer experience via inbound calls. You will assist with personal and business accounts, digital banking products, and call center inquiries, working fully on-site in Bank Operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–3 years of banking experience, with call center experience preferred. Strong problem-solving, clear communication, and proactive service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of recent banking experience including branch ops, new accounts, back-office operations, or customer service.
• 1 year of call center experience preferred.
• Ability to have in-depth dialogues with customers on sensitive matters and use initiative in recurring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process and complete daily tasks between inbound calls (deposits verifications, remote deposit, daily notices, customer fulfillment, returned mail, voicemails, online banking messages).
• Complete paperwork and customer transactions accurately following policies.
• Maintain knowledge of bank products and services and their features/benefits.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely, positive, customer-centric manner and resolve issues.
• Identify sales opportunities and refer suitable bank products/services.
• Maintain accurate and concise customer communications records.
• Assist customers with Online Banking troubleshooting and training for personal and treasury cash management clients.
• Promote self-service options and refer to appropriate services.
