Job summary

Community West Bank in Goleta, CA is seeking a Banking Center Specialist to support branch operations, assist clients with new accounts, consumer and small business lending applications, branch services and account transactions. You will process transactions, monitor cash drawers, prepare regulatory reports, and help identify and prevent fraudulent activity while delivering courteous, compliant service.

The role requires strong customer service, accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to apply applicable federal/state banking regulations.
• Knowledge of consumer banking products and services.
• Aptitude and enthusiasm for client service and sales.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to identify denominations and count currency.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with account transactions and inquiries, wire transfer requests and related currency, including domestic/foreign currency exchange/sales orders, or account transactions.
• Monitor, maintain custody of, and balance drawer cash and coin.
• Complete required reports to document cash or negotiable instruments pursuant to regulatory requirements.
• Update and close consumer checking/savings accounts and safe deposit boxes.
• Assist clients with the completion of fraudulent activity dispute forms.
• Review ATM deposits to identify potential risks. Initiate a hold or other appropriate action.
