Job summary

AllSearch Staffing Group in Warren, MI is seeking a Construction Estimator for banking industry projects. You will manage commercial estimating and preconstruction from initial bid review through final proposal, reviewing drawings, performing takeoffs, and coordinating with Project Management and Operations.

This role is office-based with occasional travel to project sites, including out-of-state trips. Base salary ranges from 85k to 100k annually, plus comprehensive benefits, PTO, a 401(k) with

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating design-build, CM, and hard bid projects.
• Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting construction plans and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to travel to project sites, including occasional out-of-state travel.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, plans, specifications, proposals, scopes of work, and other construction documentation
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs for commercial construction projects
• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and bids for renovation, remodeling, ground-up, design-build, construction management, and hard bid projects
• Prepare subcontractor bid invitations and solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Review and level subcontractor bids for scope, pricing, and completeness
• Schedule and participate in subcontractor site visits to review project scope
• Prepare bid presentations and supporting preconstruction documentation
• Work with Project Management and Operations teams throughout the estimating and preconstruction process
• Attend pre-bid meetings and project site visits
• Prepare project documentation, material release schedules, project schedules, and related information for Project Managers
• Travel to project sites as needed to obtain measurements, photographs, and other information required for estimating
