Job summary

TD Bank in Methuen, MA is seeking a Banking Associate to accurately complete everyday banking transactions and provide advice on TD services to help customers achieve financial goals. You will open new accounts, educate customers on products, and support with teller and platform operations.

The role requires high school completion, 1 year customer interaction experience, and strong communication skills. Evening/weekend availability and Teller training are expected as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity and can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience preferred
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred
• Ability to work during operating hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Teller experience preferred
• Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire
• Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent
• Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines
• Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Notary License preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts and educating customers on products and services
• Delivers end-to-end advice customers expect through educational content, consultative support and proactive recommendations
• Uses TD's systems to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships
• Identifies customer financial needs and educates on products or refers to the appropriate team
• Services customers on teller lines and platforms with deposits, transactions, and online banking support
• Engages in lead generation and customer outreach activities to schedule appointments and referrals
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and completes required training
